Dr. Snyder graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1974 and was awarded membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental fraternity. He completed a general practice residency in 1975 and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency in 1978 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, Florida. He achieved diplomat status in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979. Dr. Snyder has been active in implant surgery since 1975 and holds the status of being both a fellow and diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, earning diplomat level indicative of the highest level of achievement in this organization in 1993. He became one of the first Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons in the world to gain that honor.
He is past president of the western Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and served as President of the Western Pennsylvania College of Oral Implantology, a study club dedicated to continuing education in the field of implantology.
Dr. Snyder is on of the staff of UPMC Passavant Hospital in North Hills and on the teaching staff of Allegheny General Hospital. He is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has been in private practice in the North Hills of Pittsburgh since 1978 and has had offices in Butler and Zelienople since 1980 and 1979 respectively. In 2007 a Grove City office was established and in 2008 and office in Greenville was opened. Dr. Snyder's offices are state of the art and provide a safe, comfortable environment in which to pursue your dental health.
Dr. Snyder has been married since 1976 and has two daughters.
